Facing the historical site the Zaanse Schans, with its authentic wooden houses en windmills, Zit aan de Zaan opened up a bed & breakfast in 2009. Down here in Zaandijk you'll get a notice how nice people live on the banks of the Zaan. The characteristic property Zit aan de Zaan (meaning: located on the banks of the Zaan) is a 300 square meter piece of land, with a 25 by 5 meters long building on it. It used to be a restaurant, but after Monique and Jeroen bought it in 1998, they renovated it into a family home. Together with their 3 kids they enjoy a lovely life here. The guestroom has a lot of privacy and is located on the ground floor near the entrance of the house. Breakfast can be served in the room or in the kitchen. When the weather is nice, you're also welcome to have it served in the garden on the landing place in the Zaan. You'll enjoy waking up a lot more while you see the sun rising above the Zaan and the mills of the Zaanse Schans!
Here you'll spend the night.
The spacious room of about 25 square meters has its own bathroom with shower and washbasin. There's room for 2 to 4 people on a double bed and a nice sofa bed. On your request a cot for a baby is available. From the room you can see the old church of Zaandijk.
There's a road in front of the room, but it is a quiet one.

Price per night 135,- euro, including 2 breakfasts.
4 guests maximum. Let us know in advance when you bring a baby (so we can get the cot ready for it). Booking more than 2 persons means you'll be charged 35 euro for each of the extra persons for linen and breakfast. Bookings are for a minimum of 2 nights.
